There was a town that was growing and the people were quite happy with their home. They would meet regularly at the town square and talk about improvements to their home, there was often council available to talk about that which they would decide.

The people didn't like any fuss and disdained things like argument and debate. Concepts were presented and situations analyzed, there were often decisions on which solutions were better for the town or for an individual person if none of the situations affected the town.

In a large hall, resembling a dual quadratic object near the town square, people would leave papers about their desires for town. They would propose that the town had more people, that it was more fun, that events would happen on occasion that allowed people to meet one another for friendships, prosperous and many.

These council members had quite a similar role to the members of the courtroom. They would examine the context of the town when there was a disagreement or an injury, veering towards an argument but many times dissuaded from becoming a debate.

The town was very well run and after some time, it became necessary to ask of council if a resident of the town, would like to try something new, how it would affect the town. They could often look through hand written books of agreements, proposals, retractions, and statements. Other times, they need more information, and they didn't want too much information. They liked broad concepts that affected many people, and they could agree as a majority or disagree as a large disatisfied group on whether these concepts were right for them, or not.

This left the people in quite the perplexity when they had a question that had yet to be answered, and they desired a change in their life that they could not articulate to the council.

There was a person in town, that spent much of their time studying law. He was a law studyer and spent time in the court room, often visited with the police chief, and had even managed to make an agreement with council. He could look at the books and make notes, but he had to ask a question first so council could present the proper book for him to read. He wasn't to tarnish or damage the book in any way, and he often read the books in front of the council. Too afraid to take them home.

After some time, he decided to offer services in the town square. Bring me your questions, and I will answer them for a fee. The fee couldn't be much, otherwise the people would scold him. "You greedy old man, those questions must be answered and the price that you've set is too much, for the people to pay". He thought, he wouldn't like that very much, he wouldn't like it at all. So he set the fee reasonably and people would find him in the town square so they could ask the questions they wanted to have answered.

The man accumulated some wealth through his services he offered in the town. He thought, he'd inquire of the court and the council if the fee he'd set was too high. "Too high!" said the council, "if anything you could have asked for more, and the people would have been happy to pay it". The court asked "lets see those coffers". "Yes, yes" said the man. He'd brought a receipt with all of his fees, and small notes as to who had paid the fees written next to the amount. "I wouldn't know if I can show the person that paid the fee, I wouldn't want to reveal the questions they've asked of me" said the man.

"Those fees are quite nice" said the court, "quite handsome indeed" said the council. "A man with fees such as these shouldn't go around with such garbs. Go to the suitor and have him measure you, then ask what fees he would charge to update your garbs".

The man updated the garbs and was quite happy with the price he'd paid. The people still inquired of his service and were quite happy to pay the fees.

A police chief approached him one day and asked "How would you like to go before the court and help people ask questions to the court about the agreements they have?". The man didn't know what to say. "There are people who usurp the will of the people and are in disagreement with that the majority made." "majority made" asked the man? "Yes, their behaviors are in contrast to that which has been agreed to by the vote of the most many".

"When they are brought before the court, they are presented with themes of their behaviors and with the agreements that the people have made to live in the town. At the end of the proceedings, they are asked if the agreements are true and if their behaviors are representative of the agreements. When they have answered justly, they are allowed to leave the town or inquire at council about staying and changing the behaviors which were the cause of their appearance in court."

The man did well with his services in court, sometimes for the people, sometimes for the crook. He didn't know who he would help in presenting questions to the court on the days when he made his services available through the court room. He was given a roster and a case file with a list of agreements and overviews of behaviors on the days he arrived within his appointed time.

After some time, the court thanked him for his time and one of the town councilors that worked inside the courthouse presented him a business card. It had his name and the address of the court room. A separate card had the address of the town square, where he'd been seen sitting next to council. "What type of business title would you like sir?". It wasn't a question that allowed a decline. He thought about his time studying and how he was a studyer of law. In his haste, he said, "lawyer, I'd like to be lawyer". The business cards were given him, printed on high quality paper for him to keep in his coffers and to give to people who might be asking advice.

His friend showed up at work one day and asked about his card. "Its a nice card" he said, "but would you rather be a lawyer or a lawyest?". "A lawyest!" exclaimed the man. "Yes" said his friend. If you were asking questions would you rather have them answered by the better or by the best?". "I'd hate to represent myself as the very best and much rather present a question of having a service that is better than having no person to ask questions to."

So the man remained a lawyer, and was quite good at what he did.
