The internet is changing a lot and the concept of the internet in 2000 or 2010 is not necessarily how the internet turned out in 2020 or what is planned for 2030, 2040, or 2050. There are two video platforms with the others being mostly for private streaming. Youtube is obviously the most popular and most well known. Streaming platforms such as Hulu, Netflix, and television platforms like HBO or Warner Brothers fall into a different category even if there is some overlap.
This is what YouTube is doing with video algorithms on their platform. It makes use of color, imagery, and sound similarities to get viewers to follow along on their platform. This is combined with traditional search algorithms that are normally undisclosed to most of the public.
The use of sound, because its a video, is also used on their platform. Watch these thumbnails carefully, then play the videos. Document the similarities and try to come up with cool ways to participate. It may not be necessary to create a Youtube profile, it may be helpful. You'll have to decide on your own.
