How Will I Organize My Content

site maintenance: This is going to take a while. Excuse the mess while we update the website.

There are millions of website on the internet. Most people don't really pay to much attention to content organization. Some bigger sites might have a rough outline that is not strictly followed 100% of the time.

This site specifically, keeps changing in how it is used, and what type of content is actually visible on the site. I have a few ideas, but it may take me a year or two to fully think it through.

Overall, there are a few areas of writing and publishing that I would like to focus on:

  • Short Stories
  • Space Science
  • Human Biology
  • Engineering
  • Sports and Exercise
  • Medicine
  • Nutrition

There are some things that I would have to make time for or fit into an existing time slot. Technology is something that I don't write about because there are hundreds of authors that write about technology and to be honest, there is not much more to write about. A few comments here and there ends in conversations of "I already read that before".

My writing style is informal, narrative, and short story. I would like to develop that because its a good communication method, and its a very standardized format. I'm good at applying it to different topics and area of conversation. There are going to be some slight adjustments with the different content categories but I think I can make it work.

Long term the goal is to organize the content so that older content is in sections that is searchable by time period or interval and topic. And topics or content categories can be extended, clarified, added to, or corrected in an understandable format.

This will require several domains to keep the content grouped nicely as best as possible. There will be some redirection for a while but it shouldn't be too bad. And the contact form will be available if a redirect goes to a wrong site.

The format will likely be mostly in third person or in an obfuscated source format. This helps me write more and is easier for more people to understand. Some of the sites will be in the first person but that will likely be limited to just a few topics, and will decrease over time. The domains, they will be mostly content specific. There might occassionally be a domain that is content diverse. To get a feel for what works best; but then it will likely be pretty content specific.

The focus will be writing, once that is pretty consistent, there will be other things to write about. I doubt, it will be too difficult to keep up with everything. There's just a lot of prep work going on still.

In the meantime, have fun and thanks for reading.
